Holkham Hall & he Norfolk Broads 16th—20th September

COST PER PERSON: £495 PER PERSON

Includes Mississippi Paddle Steamer

We return to the popular resort of Cromer, one of the only places in the UK where you can see the sun rise and set from the same bench outside our hotel. Cromer is known for it’s sandy beaches, delicious Cromer crab sandwiches and also boasts one of the most sunny places to stay.

A trip to Norfolk wouldn’t be complete without a tour of the Norfolk Broads on a Mississippi Paddle steamer. Our river cruise will take us from the beautiful village of Horning along the River Bure to Ranworth Broad, passing lovely old thatched houses and windmills. There is excellent commentary during our 90 minute return journey, pointing out all the wildlife, such as Kingfishers, Herons and Bitterns. We will have free time in Wroxham, known as the capital of The Norfolk Broads, with it’s boating, wildlife and heritage attractions. We finish with a stop in Aylsham, a charming market town with historic buildings and a Jacobean hall.

On your free day in Cromer take time to explore the narrow twisting streets and bustling harbour, as well as enjoy a fresh Cromer crab sandwich.

Holkham Hall is an 18th century Palladian house, home to the Earls of Leicester, and consists of a glorious marble hall, state rooms and art galleries. We will spend time exploring the house and it’s gorgeous walled garden with Victorian greenhouse, vineyard and a kitchen garden. We finish with a stop in Wells-next-the-Sea with it’s colourful huts and bustling harbour.
