After our ferry crossing from Wales, we will arrive at our hotel to be greeted by a warm, Irish welcome in time for dinner. The hotel has an Irish bar attached, so enjoy the craic and live entertainment.
We will enjoy a ride on the Waterford & Suir Valley narrow gauge railway to visit Mount Congreve Gardens, home to one of the largest collection of plants in Ireland and ablaze with colour in the Spring with it’s azaleas, camelias & magnolias. We will have soup & sandwiches at a traditional Irish bar before continuing on the scenic ‘Copper Coast’ to the sea-side resort of Tramore.
On our free day in Waterford we will enjoy a 90 minute return cruise along the river Barrow. You then have free time to explore the city’s attractions, such as Waterford Crystal or the Viking Triangle , as well as the shops and bars.
Our next day begins with a tour of the Dunbrody Famine Ship, where we learn about the bravery and fortitude of the Irish people. After a brief stop in Wexford for lunch we visit the 19th Century Johnstown Castle for a guided tour, with time to explore the picturesque gardens and Irish Agricultural Museum.
The medieval city of Kilkenny is another highlight, where we will include a land train tour to see the castle, abbey, cathedral and many more highlights, with commentary. You will have the rest of the day at leisure in the city.

The hotel is family owned & renowned for it’s warm welcome. It’s centrally located in the heart of Waterford, within walking distance of the town. All the bedrooms have TV, hairdryer & tea/coffee making facilities. There is a traditional Irish bar with great craic & entertainment, & a great restaurant.
