Our New Year tour this year will be based in Bideford, so we won’t have far to travel. The hotel has been recommended, and boasts a great New Year’s entertainment package.

We will enjoy a lunch-time stop before being greeted at the hotel with tea or coffee in the lounge. Why not enjoy a cocktail from the Appledore Bar before our dinner, followed by the first night of live entertainment.

On New Year’s Eve we will visit the nearby market town of Oakhampton, often referred to as ’The gateway to the moor’. We will have time to explore this quaint market town before returning to the hotel in time to get dressed up for the main event. There will be a Gala New Year’s Eve dinner, accompanied by a piper to sound the start of the celebrations. At midnight, you will have  a glass of bubbly to toast the New Year and party poppers to make sure it goes with a bang!

On New Year’s Day there will be a leisurely brunch served from 9am, with the rest of the day to spend as you choose. Take a walk on the South-West coastal path along the River Torridge to blow away the cobwebs, but make sure you’re back for the afternoon tea and cake, followed by cash bingo! There’s an optional Fancy Dress competition before our final night of dinner and entertainment.

Your Hotel - The 3*Durrant House Hotel, Bideford

 The hotel is on the edge of town. All the rooms are modern with TV , hairdryer, iron & tea/coffee making facilities. The Olive-Tree restaurant uses fresh, local ingredients wherever possible and there is a comfortable bar & ballroom. There is no lift but ground floor rooms are available (5 steps).
