Return To Bletchley & RAF Duxford 2nd—6th March

COST PER PERSON: £545 PER PERSON

Includes Cambridge

After our sold-out tour last year, we return again this year, by popular request, but this time staying at a city centre hotel.

We will visit The Imperial War museum at Duxford, Britain’s best-preserved World War 2 airfield. The museum includes the historic Operations Block, the nerve centre of Duxford’s Battle of Britain campaign, Airspace, home to 30 iconic aircraft, the American Air Museum featuring Europe’s biggest collection of US military aircraft & Historic Duxford, which recalls wartime flying aces such as Douglas Bader.

No WW2 tour would be complete without visiting Bletchley Park, where Alan Turing & his colleagues helped crack Germany’s Enigma Code. We will uncover the remarkable story by visiting the functional Codebreaking Huts & Blocks, Alan Turing’s office, the library, wartime garages (compete with WW2 vehicles) & a series of interactive exhibits. The café is Hut 4, formerly the home of Naval Intelligence.

We will also visit Cambridge for you to see The Fitzwilliam museum, The Botanic Gardens or take a punt on the river Cam.  There is an American War Grave Cemetry nearby and we will include a stop.
